Jake the Swimmer

At the beginning of the story, there is a boy named jake which is training for the freestyle heats that's coming up and he has two other friends who were Emma and Josh. They are training for the heat's coming up but josh is not he's a geek and Jake wins the race by all the things that Encouraged him to do it which was, Ignore everything don't let anything hold you back and just be patient and then that what  was what made Jake win.

My Weekends

In the weekend I went over to my aunt's house to go visit my aunty who just came from Aussie.  The things we did at my aunt's house was kickback have a feed and just play games and watch tv. After that we went to the Dunkirk park with my little cousin and my brother and played on the slide, the swing and the seesaw. The last place we went was beach, and we just kicked back again and then we went to the shops to get some fire wood to light up at her house.

After that we went back to my mom's house to have a rest, and to just have a sleep and have dinner, which was chicken nibbles with coke. The next day we went to the pools and went to the small pool, to help my little cousin swim there, after that we went to get some Mcdonalds and some wendys. Then after that we went to the field to go play some kicks with my uncle.

But now it was time for my aunty to go and I am really gonna miss her. It was a long drive to the airport but she had to go back to aussie cause she lived there but she just comes here often to visit the kids. But now I miss her because it's like boring without her and my little cousin was cryin when she left, but really I do Miss her. :-)

Medley Relay

In the medley relay for swimming, there are four different swimming strokes: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle. And did you know that the medley relay is one of the most watched events in the olympics just like the 100m Sprints. :

The Aim for the medley relay event is to complete the four strokes in order to win. So you have to start off with the backstroke and swim the length of the pool which is 50 m. But there this is the part when they need a lot of stamina they they have to double the length and do it again. But when it's the next persons turn they have to touch the edge, there is a judge next to them if he sees them touch it then he tells the next person to jump in the pool.

The Equipment and the Swimwear that is used for the medley relay is very tight. They put Jons on which is a suit for swimming. they put on a cap as well to reduce drag and so nothing annoys when you are swimming

The skills that you need to know is that you need to know how to swim. Plus you need to know how to do the strokes that you are going to do when it's your turn. The strength that you need to have to have is A little bulky. You have to have stamina to last and go aster throughout the relay.

I think about this sport as an active sport because everybody gets a to have a turn at something. And my favourite stroke is the breaststroke but you always need to have a lot of stamina.
